Rajasthan Govt. – Rallying Against the COVID-19 Outbreak through Digitalization

The largest state of India is home to 6.86 [d1] crore Rajasthanis. Just when the COVID-19 pandemic made its way into our state, the Govt. of Rajasthan thwarted it with a powerful wave of digitalisation.

By digitalisation, we refer to not just the implementation of war rooms all across the state to address public queries, but also an encyclopedic web portal – COVID-19 Information Rajasthan Government.

This umbrella platform is an active resource to streamline public awareness initiatives and also combat against the fake news that is circulating about COVID-19. And this is just one of the digital initiatives taken by the Rajasthan Government to keep every citizen of the state informed and updated during the lockdown[d2] period.

Mobile Apps Are Helping Us Win This Fight

RSMP Mobile App

To sterilize the bitter breeze of COVID-19, RSMP – RajConnect Mobile App is surfacing as an effective antidote. It is providing all the concrete facts and at the same time busting the myths. This secured social media app is specifically developed to enrich surveys. It also serves as a chatbot solution for timely grievance redressal. Some new facilities are - Video conferencing, live streaming, movies, games, chatting, news, television, etc.

Aayu Mobile App

The government has taken the personal responsibility of the state’s health and well-being. By partnering with MedCords – a 24x7 online consultation and medical delivery solution, proper healthcare is being ensured all across, even in the remote areas. With its Google Play Store application – Aayu, residents can seamlessly avail medical assistance as well as medicine deliveries.

e-Mitra Web Portal and App

e-Mitra is helping in the journey towards transparent and responsive governance. In fact, such is the widespread reach from the e-Mitra platform that a section of Migrant Registration Service has been integrated to invite registrations from stranded migrants.

As per reports[3] , nearly 17 lakh migrant registrations have been received till April 29, 2020[d4] . It has also been integrated with ‘RajCovidInfo’ app to augment the efforts of the state.

Besides, e-Mitra has made a lot of things easy, from utility bill payment to banking and digitally signed certificate services. It plays a pivotal role in making Rajasthan a self-sufficient digitalised state – a prerequisite during this on-going scenario.

Digital Learning App

While many of the digital platforms are designed to subdue the detrimental effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the State Govt. has also ensured that education doesn’t take a backseat because of the lockdown. What’s more, this online education initiative is free of cost.

BrightTutee - a multilingual educational platform is actively running [5] to help students keep pace with the syllabus. To make this platform tailored and comprehensive, the State Govt. has partnered with an e-learning venture called Bright Tutee. It especially assists the students of classes 9th and 10th to guide them through their academic curriculum.

RajSampark App

In order to strengthen two-way communication across the state, the RajSampark platform acts as a bridge between the govt. departments and the citizens to redress various citizen-centric queries. In addition to this, the toll-free number 181 helps to make this system smooth and efficient.

E-Bazaar Web Portal and App

The E-bazaar COVID-19 mobile app is a testament to the rapidly digitizing face of Rajasthan. Not only does it educate people about the nearest grocery stores but it also acts as an Omni channel platform to enable online as well as offline shopping. With online payment and Cash on Delivery options, it serves as a nexus between buyers and sellers all across the state.

RajCop Citizen App

Finally, to facilitate a phased exit from lockdown, an e-pass from the State Govt. ensures safety and control all across the region. The e-pass is specially designed to allow the movement of personnel and vehicles for essential services.

The government is providing up-to-date and in-depth information about the Coronavirus disease and the lockdown by the Facebook ChatBot.

RajConnect ChatBot

To provides the text, video and voice chat, Rajasthan government also implement a channel through which users can access the real time information.

e-Sanjeevani Portal

To save time and connect them to doctors, the government has launched esanjeevaniopd.in portal which provides the facility to connect them online with doctors regarding health issues.

SMILE Project & Shala Darpan

These platforms are helpful for school children to continue their studies at the time of lockdown. They can connect to their teachers online. This also saves time in commuting.

RajCovidInfo Mobile App

This app is a great help in knowing about the up-to-date information about the COVID-19 in the state. Also, important press releases, government guidance, health assessment facility, a list of hospitals/labs for the testing, and many other important options are given to the citizens of Rajasthan to tackle COVID-19 effectively.

The imperial land of Rajasthan is not limited to the tales of grandeur and heritage; its unending list of digital initiatives is carving a new golden chapter of victory against the COVID-19 outbreak.
